bike ride on Camønoen

Bike tour Camønoen

You can hike on the Camøno route but also cycle. Much of the trip is on cycle paths and the route is 175 km long, and by cycling on parts of the route, you have the opportunity to reach far around beautiful Møn.

At Tiendegaarden we offer this combination, where you - perhaps depending on the wind and weather - can choose to take today's stage in hiking shoes or cycling shoes. Several of the tour suggestions suggest that you cycle out to an interesting hiking stage, park the bike there and continue on foot. After the hiking stage, you cycle back to Tiendegaarden

♦ The bicycle

The vast majority of our guests bring their own bike. We have a partnership with a local bike shop, so it is possible to rent a bike. Calculate from 125 kr per day per bike depending on what kind of bike you want to rent.

If you bring your own, the easiest way is to drive directly to Tiendegaarden by car with bikes and luggage. Maybe you want to take advantage of the arrival day? This is done by parking your car, for example at Fanefjord Church, and taking your bike from there on the lovely route in that area. Remember to bring a packed lunch for today's lunch. After the stage is over, hang the bike on the car and continue to check in at Tiendegaarden. If it is late in the day, it is a good idea to stop for dinner at one of the lovely restaurants in Stege before arrival.

♦ The hike

Tiendegaarden offers 3 camøno loops starting from the farm. Maybe you're not up for the long trip of almost 30 km around the cliff? You can again combine cycling and hiking, and take the first part on the road by bike, then switch to walking shoes in the fantastic cliff area.

♦ What should you do?

Book accommodation at Tiendegaarden in the room type you want. Choose between an economy room with bathroom/toilet in the hallway, a room with a private bathroom/toilet or perhaps a suite/double room with a private entrance, private living room, private kitchenette, private bathroom/toilet and then a bedroom of course. ♦ Meals

We suggest that you buy breakfast every morning. It is usually plentiful, so it is possible to spread a couple of sandwiches for the day's stage. You can easily supplement by buying drinks, muesli bars, salad and the like from the local Brugs in Borre.

Dinner: a good tip is to plan the trip so that you pass by a restaurant on the way home. For example in Klintholm Havn or at Møns Klint/Jydelejet. You can also buy in Brugsen, which has simple dishes that are heated in the microwave at Tiendegaarden. Or maybe a meal of wine, cheese, sausage and bread? There are several options, especially if they are planned a little in advance

♦ Plan the route

First of all, order a camøno card at the local museum.. Purchased hereA waterproof map of Møn & Camønoen can be purchased here.

Tiendegaarden's route suggestions can be found here, you might use them as a starting point for planning your Møn trip.

The Camønoen website also provides some help with the individual routes. Some of our guests wait until the last minute to plan, and thus squint at the weather and your daily mood.

A tip is to plan your first day in advance, especially if it is to take place on West Møn. Møn is actually quite large, and you can save at least 1 hour of driving by car if you do so.
